If they are polite about it, that’s a good thing. He’s also right about it being better than police showing up in tactical gear like they’re coming after a serial killer and drawing all kinds of unwarranted and unwanted attention. They call ahead and are quick. That’s not bad. I had this vision of a bunch of egotistical and aggressive jerks just being really tacky and adversarial. Vincent has no reason to lie about how he has been treated by members of PFML. I imagine if they are treated respectfully, they reply in kind. PFML members who do these checks have to be former law enforcement, if I remember correctly. That is a plus in that they know how to detach their emotions and be objective..at least more so than many private citizens would be in this situation.

I don’t support any of it, but I prefer a low-key approach to the spectacle sideshow law enforcement tends to make out of compliance checks. We’ve all heard about police leaving very conspicuous and humiliating door hangers as a means to humiliate and retaliate against registrants because they weren’t home at the time.

Dont get me wrong i dont like any of this! but it is what it is.
