About Us

Registry Matters began in October 2017. The mission of Registry Matters is to cover issues surrounding the registry. We will challenge the way you think about policies, laws and political tactics. If you’re in a left leaning district, there is a specific way to message. If you’re in a right leaning district, there is a way to message. A shotgun approach isn’t going to work in all instances.

First: Registries aren’t unconstitutional. You register your car, or your kids for school. You may have to get a license to fish or hunt. We register things all the time. The registry itself isn’t the problem. And before we go any further, there isn’t going to be a magic bullet that makes the whole thing go away “poof”. There isn’t a national registry anyway. We have 50+ fights to take on in each state, and then in many local jurisdictions.

What we can do is make things better. Better how? There are dozens or hundreds of people in Florida that are living in tents because of local policies. Many states have some sort of living or work distance restrictions. Some states have where you work listed on the public registry.

Why is it that after you’ve served your prison sentence, and then your post prison supervision (parole or probation), why is it that there is a threat to your freedom? You’ve completed your sentence. You’ve done what has been required by law (I am making the assumption you’ve done what was required). When it’s over, shouldn’t it be over? But no! That isn’t the case.

The Registry Matters Podcast is a weekly dive into this. We cover cases that will peel back the veneer of what we need to do to change our lives for the better. We cover news articles that spark conversations. Conversations about the total insanity of this true modern day witch hunt.

This podcast is a call to action that will call out bad policy and call out those that are making bad policy. To change things for the positive, we need to act. We are 6-7-8-900k strong. With that many people, move out to their friends and family, we should have well over a million people. We should be able to secure donations to hire lawyers and lobbyists to move the agenda in our favor. We need our people to be represented.

The Registry Matters Podcast is our way to reach people and advance our cause.
