RM200: New SORNA regulations (Again)

We revisit the soon-to-be-implemented SORNA regulations (Again). We talk about the Adam Walsh Act pending regulatory guidelines that are actually going to become final very soon here. We did this on RM138 (https://www.registrymatters.co/podcast/rm138-sorna-explained/) over a year ago. We have a special guest from the great state of West Virginia that’s going to be balancing my liberal Do-goodism. We’re also going to be taking a couple of questions, three questions, I think two from behind the walls and one that came in from gatekeeper at NARSOL.

[2:33] Being homeless, and can the local sheriff require nightly text messages w/ your locaiton?

[11:42] Why are we so flippant and disrespectful on the podcast?

[18:19] What about Registry Matters accept CORRLINKS email?

[19:42] Questions about civil commitment in Indiana

[29:13] Introducing Philip: Executive Director of West Virginia for Rational Sexual Offense Laws
WVRSOL@gmail.com

[55:42] AWA Regulation Changes

  1. Is anyone considering illegal ex post facto applications? Recent case of John Doe vs. Kent removed plaintiff from registry in Tenn. through Due Process and ex post facto because feds ruled registry punitive without review.
